Harvard Business School seeks innovative applicants with backgrounds in economics, social psychology, organizational behavior, or related disciplines for a tenure-track faculty appointment in its Negotiation, Organizations & Markets (NOM) Unit. The optimal candidate will be interested in understanding and solving real-world problems using rigorous research methods.

As a unit, we are broadly interested in the way people make decisions, how individuals and groups interact and negotiate, and the design and functioning of incentives and markets. The NOM Unit is interdisciplinary and has approximately 20 faculty members with backgrounds in economics, psychology, and organizational behavior, among others. Our research interests include Applied Microeconomics, Behavioral Economics, Market Design (with a particular emphasis on online marketplaces), Negotiation, Behavioral Ethics, Behavioral Decision-Making, Trust, Compensation, and Incentives.

We are responsible for teaching a variety of MBA and executive education courses related to negotiation, organizational economics, behavioral economics and decision-making, and market design. We also teach doctoral courses and work closely with doctoral students in the organizational behavior program and in the business economics program (which is joint with the Department of Economics).
