The FDA seeks to fill the position of Director, for the Office of Economics and Analysis. The Director is responsible for the mission of this office, which is to serve as the agency focal point for economic and public health policy options and outcomes, including research and analysis on priority or emerging issues. Conduct and review benefit-cost analyses of regulations; provide economic analysis to agency components for regulatory and other program functions; for strategic and analytical leadership on priority public health issues and initiatives, and assessment of the impact of Agency activities upon the public health. The Director also collaborates, advises, and assists the Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, HHS senior officials, OMB and other key officials concerning economic and/or public health factors relating to current and proposed agency activities to promote and support the mission of FDA.

• This position requires U.S. citizenship.
• Applicants must possess, at a minimum, a Ph.D. in a field related to Economics, Public Health, or Operations Research. At least 10 years in a field related to economics, public health service, or quantitative regulatory analysis working in a public health, health policy or scientific organization. At least 2 years of executive-level management experience. Demonstrated leadership and management skills and the ability to communicate both orally and in writing to a varied audience.
• Candidate is expected to have or obtain a high-risk public trust security clearance.
