Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position with appointment to begin September 1, 2020. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise and a record of research in applied microeconomics. We are open to any field relating to domestic policy but are especially interested in education and health economics. Successful candidates will teach in our Master of Public Administration program and/or our Master of Health Administration program, and will have demonstrated excellence in research.

NYU Wagner is a multidisciplinary school that prepares public service leaders to translate ideas into actions that have an effective and lasting impact on the public good. Wagner’s nearly 40 full-time faculty members are trained in a wide variety of disciplines and share a commitment to addressing issues of public importance in their teaching and research. Wagner faculty members collaborate with other schools and departments across the university, including the Department of Economics, Stern School of Business, Steinhardt School of Education, School of Medicine, and College of Global Public Health.

A Ph.D. in economics or a related field is required and must be conferred by August 31, 2020. Post-Ph.D. research experience is strongly preferred.
