Job Announcement: Postdoctoral Research Associate
The School of Public Policy at the University of California – Riverside is searching for a postdoctoral researcher in the area of water economics and policy. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in economics, agricultural economics, or a closely related field, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the potential or demonstrated ability to conduct independent quantitative research in the area of water economics and policy. The initial appointment will be for one year with the opportunity to extend the appointment for an additional year, pending positive performance reviews and the availability of funding.

Qualifications
• Earned Ph.D. in agricultural economics, applied economics, economics or econometrics/statistics within the past five years
• Demonstrated experience working with geospatial data to produce data sets suitable for econometric analysis
• Strong programming skills in R and Stata
• Strong writing and oral communication skills
• Familiarity with urban and/or California water policy are highly desired
• Experience applying microeconometric techniques to perform policy or program evaluation
• Experience using R and/or Python software for data processing and analysis and GIS software for geospatial data processing
