American University of Sharjah (AUS) seeks applications and nominations for the position of Dean of the School of Business Administration.
Reporting to the Provost, the Dean leads a school of 74 faculty members, with enrollment of 1,174 undergraduate and 75 graduate students. The school offers the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with majors in accounting, economics, finance, management, management information systems and marketing. The school also offers a Bachelor of Arts in Economics degree and nine minors. Graduate degrees include the Master of Business Administration and the Master of Science in Accounting.
The successful candidate will possess an earned doctorate in business or a closely-related field and a distinguished record of leadership, preferably within the American higher education model. The new Dean will build on the strong reputation of the school as one of the best in the region and work with a committed faculty to help advance the university’s mission of educating lifelong learners who display mastery in their majors and who think critically, communicate clearly and solve problems creatively.
