The Business and Economics Department of Wheaton College (Illinois) invites applicants for the Hudson T. Harrison Chair of Entrepreneurship. The holder of this newly endowed chair will have the opportunity to frame and shape the future of entrepreneurship education within the context of Wheaton College’s Christian liberal arts mission. The successful candidate will partner with Wheaton College’s new Center for Faith and Innovation to help envision and implement an ecosystem of curricular and co-curricular programs with the goal of inspiring, educating, and equipping students to turn ideas into for-profit or non-profit ventures. The successful candidate will also be a thought leader who can apply a biblical and theological framework to the redemptive work of a Christian entrepreneur. Finally, the successful candidate will be skilled in developing partnerships with the business and non-profit communities and in collaborating with colleagues across the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. The endowed chair provides both a reduced teaching load and a project budget to facilitate research and co-curricular initiatives.

A Ph.D. in fields related to entrepreneurship such as management, marketing, economics or other social sciences is required. A strong research, teaching, and mentoring record that supports an appointment to associate or full professor is also necessary. Entrepreneurial or start-up experience is preferred.
