Position Summary: Gettysburg College invites applications for a one-year visiting faculty position in the Department of Economics and the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor (http://www.gettysburg.edu/academics/economics/index.dot) to begin August 2019. The successful candidate will demonstrate potential for strong teaching in the liberal arts tradition and show a potential for scholarly engagement. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching and scholarly interests in microeconomics and quantitative methods, but outstanding applicants in other fields are encouraged to apply. A Ph.D. in Economics is preferred by the time of appointment. The department encourages applications from candidates whose teaching, scholarship, or service would contribute to the diversity of the campus curriculum and community.

Qualifications: We seek an economist trained in microeconomics and quantitative methods who can teach all levels of undergraduate students. We will also consider outstanding candidates in other fields. The teaching load is 3-3. Courses will include principles of microeconomics, intermediate microeconomics and quantitative methods.
