The College of Veterinary Medicine and Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management SC Johnson College of Business at Cornell University invites applications for a tenure track position in veterinary economics and management. The successful candidate will have a joint appointment in the veterinary and business colleges via the Cornell Center for Veterinary Business and Entrepreneurship. The Center was established in 2019 to explore new business opportunities in veterinary medicine and to solve some of the most pressing challenges facing animal healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate is expected to establish a distinguished program of research in veterinary economics and engage a variety of internal and external stakeholders to promote the new Center and to amplify the impact of its research agenda. The research should apply economics methodologies to investigate important issues currently facing the veterinary profession. The candidate is expected to publish in leading scholarly journals in veterinary medicine, economics or management related fields. Responsibilities will be primarily research with some teaching expectations.

Qualifications: A Ph.D. in agricultural or applied economics, economics or a related discipline is required. Preference may be given to individuals with strong research background on industrial organization, economics of consumer behavior, production economics or marketing.
