The Department of Economics invites applications for a full-time, limited-term position at the rank of Lecturer in Discipline to begin July 1, 2019. The Lecturer in Discipline will be expected to be the Program Director for the MA Program in the Department of Economics. This is a full-time, renewable position with multi-year renewals contingent on successful reviews.

The Lecturer will teach in the undergraduate program and/or in the Master’s program, with an anticipated course load of up to two or three courses per academic year, depending on administrative duties. Lecturers are expected to make themselves available to students and to hold regular office hours. A Ph.D. in economics, demonstrated excellence in teaching at the advanced undergraduate and/or graduate level, and teaching experience in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics or Econometrics are required.

In addition, the Lecturer will lead the MA admissions process, work with the chair on staffing for the MA courses, oversee the MA research paper requirement, advise MA students in academic and career planning capacities, and report to the MA faculty oversight committee on all matters related to the program.
