The Undergraduate Program Director (UPD) will work with the Center for the study of Public Choice and Private Enterprise (PCPE) Director to develop and administer center undergraduate programs including: Mancur Olson Scholars reading groups, PCPE research fellows, student interns, student activities (game/movie night), student travel. The UPD will develop student programs in economic research, writing of reports and blogs, paper editing, website development/maintenance, multimedia production, center promotion, etc. As lecturer, the UPD will teach two course per semester.

Minimum Qualifications:
Masters degree in Economics or related field. Ability to foster undergraduate engagement in economic research. Ability to be an effective teacher at the principles of economics level. Ability to conduct student reading groups. Ability to effectively recruit students. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to be an effective manager of time and resources. Strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in Economics or related field. Experience teaching economics courses at the university level with evidence of success. Experience with undergraduate extracurricular activities. Experience with student reading groups. Experience guiding student research. Experience managing and/or supervising employees or student workers. Interest and ability in teaching the new “Market Values” course. Knowledge of K-12 economic education and curriculum development.
