We are now looking for an original thinker and persuasive communicator to lead our work on transforming innovation policy.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Research, Analysis and Policy, the Director of Innovation Policy is a senior leadership position within Nesta. Working with a high calibre research team, we offer an opportunity to build a strong public profile as an expert on innovation, technology and future economy and to apply your political acumen, networks and strategic nous to developing creative policy proposals for lasting change.

You will have significant proven expertise in innovation policy, economic policy and industrial strategy or similar, and be fluent with key arguments and frameworks from economics and other relevant disciplines. You will also demonstrate expertise in new technology trends and share our values and commitment to shaping these for public benefit. You will show evidence of being a highly credible public commentator, analyst and source of original ideas. Anyone occupying this role will need to be able to communicate complex research in compelling ways, provide inspiring leadership, and as a superb collaborator, help develop new partnerships to grow our impact.
