Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics with an anticipated start date of August 2019. Requirements include a doctorate or near completion in Economics, and demonstrated potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching. We are seeking candidates who embrace the mission and vision of Rose-Hulman to join our collegial team of faculty. The department and the institute place a high value on engaging students from traditionally underrepresented groups, and candidates from these groups are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates who can broaden and enhance the educational experience of our students are also encouraged to apply. The department offers a B.S. degree in Economics as well as a minor. The successful candidate will be expected to teach introductory microeconomics and macroeconomics, undergraduate econometrics, and elective courses in the above fields or other areas of interest.

Rose-Hulman is a selective, private college located in Terre Haute, Indiana, in a suburban/residential setting. The Institute emphasizes a liberal education in engineering, science and mathematics. Rose-Hulman is consistently ranked among the best colleges of science and engineering in the nation by a variety of publications and surveys and was recently ranked number one for the twentieth consecutive year by U.S. News & World Report among engineering schools that do not offer a Ph.D. program.
