Resolution Economics is headquartered in Los Angeles with offices in Washington, D.C., Chicago, and New York City. We are seeking a trained labor economist to work in a very exciting and rewarding environment.

Working at Resolution Economics is a professionally fulfilling experience where teamwork, creativity, and analytical rigor combine to generate practical results. We apply advanced econometrics, modern data analytics, and economic theory to answer real-world questions. The Labor and Employment Practice is engaged in a wide range of matters, including high profile class action employment discrimination matters, detailed analyses of work and productivity, and analyses designed to assist companies with pay setting, promotion processes, and layoffs . We frequently provide analysis and support related to discrimination matters in state and federal courts. In the business consulting area we provide analysis of employment data for companies seeking to comply with various legal statutes, but also seeking advice on how to most efficiently conduct economic aspects of their employment practices.

We are seeking candidates with a Ph.D. in economics with a specialization in applied microeconomics, and econometrics and quantitative methods with strong empirical skills in managing and analyzing large data sets. Having a field concentration in labor economics would be highly preferred, but a successful candidate can have taken the labor sequence in their Ph.D. program but not declared it as a field.
