The Department of Economics, Applied Statistics and International Business in the College of Business at New Mexico State University is seeking to hire an assistant or associate professor in international economics. Candidates for this position should have strong teaching and research skills. Interest in Latin America is preferred. Ability to speak Spanish is preferred. The duties of the position are broadly defined to include the capacity to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. It is expected that the candidates will have the potential to accomplish significant research and show a commitment to service to students.

New Mexico State University is a comprehensive land-grant institution and is classified as a Hispanic-serving institution by the federal government with a total minority enrollment over 50%.
