Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Department of Economics at the University of Alberta seeks to appoint a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Energy Economics starting July 1, 2019. The Post-Doctoral Fellow is expected to work on research topics related to electricity markets, environmental economics, and industrial organization, and particularly on issues related to the integration and regulation of renewable generation technologies in electricity markets. The ideal candidate would have a working knowledge of electricity markets. The position is for one year with the opportunity for renewal.

The candidate must have excellent oral and written English communication skills, an ability to communicate to both scholarly and practitioner audiences, and a Ph.D. in economics or a related discipline. Successful candidates are expected to have received a Ph.D. within the last three years or be within a few months from completion. There is no teaching requirement associated with this position. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
