Responsibilities:
The applicant's task would be to assist the principal of the firm in his academic research objectives. See, the keywords above and the website, https://www.kresearch.org/ for current topics. The communications and directions from the principal will be mostly by email or phone. The work involved, although flexible on a weekly basis, is likely to continue for an year or more. It will primarily involve literature search on Econlit and review of relevant articles of interest, and econometric investigation using large data sets. This assistant-ship is for top caliber PhD students who can find time to engage in intellectually rigorous, high-quality, and stimulating work. We are currently seeking one student to start immediately, and one later.

Qualifications:
Completed at least one year of course-work toward a PhD in economics at a reputable school
Strong writing skills and ability to comprehend journal articles in economics
Strong skills in one or more econometric/statistical programs like Stata or EViews
Excellent grades
Ability to work flexible hours
Legal status to accept paid employment
