The Department of Economics invites applications for three positions, including the Richard F. Aster Jr. Chair in Economics, the Wilcox Family Chair in Entrepreneurial Economics, and a position open at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.

• Applicants for the Richard F. Aster Jr. Endowed chair should apply to JPF01336, http://apptrkr.com/1309402. Qualified applicants should have a Ph.D. in economics or a related field by the time of application, with preference for candidates who currently hold the rank of Associate or Full Professor. Preference will be given to candidates with a demonstrated research program that advances the study of economics, and with a record of teaching and mentoring. A complete application will include a CV, and a letter of intent. We will begin reviewing completed applications on November 6, 2018, and will continue until the position is filled. For full consideration, all application materials must be completed on or before November 5, 2018. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2019.

• Applicants for the Wilcox Family Chair in Entrepreneurial Economics should apply to JPF01337, http://apptrkr.com/1309403. A complete application will include a CV, and a letter of intent. Review of completed applications will begin November 6, 2018 and continue until the position is filled. Qualified applicants should have a Ph.D. in economics or a related field by the time of application, with preference for candidates who currently hold the rank of Associate or Full Professor. Preference will be given to candidates with a demonstrated research program that advances the study of economics, and with a record of teaching and mentoring. Preference will be given to individuals with corporate experience, business start-up experience, or a demonstrated interest in supporting entrepreneurship. It is expected that the chair holder will devote about half of his or her instructional efforts to teaching that supports student entrepreneurship. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2019.

• Applicants for the Assistant/Associate position should apply to JPF01335, http://apptrkr.com/1309404. This position is open to all fields, with macroeconomics being a priority area. A complete application will include a CV, a letter of intent, research sample(s), and the names of three references. For applicants who did not hold a Ph.D. as of January 1, 2018, we will immediately request letters from your references (as soon as your application is complete). For applicants whose Ph.D. was granted before January 1, 2018, we will only request letters from finalists. The initial review date is November 6, 2018. For consideration at the initial review date, all application materials must be completed on November 5, 2018. An additional review will commence on November 29, 2018. All applications that are complete on or before November 28, 2018 will receive full consideration. The search will continue until the position is filled. We will be interviewing at the AEA meetings in Atlanta in January 2019, as well as via Skype and alternate locations. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2019. Qualified applicants should have a Ph.D. in economics or a related field by the time of employment.
