The Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure track positions (requisition #15299BR) at the assistant professor level for appointment effective September 1, 2019.

The department seeks an individual with extensive training in Macroeconomics. All Macroeconomic fields will be considered including International Macro and Development Macro. The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. in Economics by the start date and will be expected to contribute to the university’s mission, including producing publishable research, applying for external funding, supervising Ph.D. dissertation research, and teaching effectively at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Service duties include program-building, as well as commitment to extra-curricular activities. Service to the department, college, and university is expected. Salary, scholarly assistance and benefits are competitive.

Applications should include a letter of interest, vita, transcripts of graduate work, three letters of reference, a research paper, a research statement, evidence of teaching effectiveness, if available, and statement of teaching philosophy. Preference will be given to candidates whose application and supporting materials are received by December 1, 2018. Interviews will be held at the Annual AEA/ASSA meeting in Atlanta, GA.
