IWPR encourages applications for a post-doctoral fellowship from individuals from under-represented racial and ethnic groups who are interested in the study of policy issues affecting women.

IWPR conducts and communicates research to inspire public dialogue, shape policy, and improve the lives and opportunities of women of diverse backgrounds, circumstances, and experiences. This twelve-month fellowship provides the opportunity to contribute to research that informs policies affecting women and their families. The fellow will work full-time in IWPR’s Washington, DC, office with an experienced, multi-disciplinary team of PhD-level researchers and research associates on a variety of topics related to employment, education, income security, work and family, health and safety, and women and girls of color.

Candidates must have completed all requirements for the Ph.D. in economics by September 1, 2019, or have received the Ph.D. in economics after January 1, 2016. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States for the duration of the fellowship.

Start date is negotiable, but preferably before September 15, 2019.
