Duke Kunshan University invites applications to fill a tenure-line faculty position in environmental social science (rank open) to start as early as July 2019. The position will be part of the Environment Program, which includes the Environmental Research Center and international Master of Environmental Policy (iMEP) degree (http://environment.dukekunshan.edu.cn). The selected candidate will contribute to a research and education program for evidence-based environmental policy studies with a focus on empirical methods. Desired expertise for the environmental social scientist includes, but is not limited to, environmental policy analysis, law and governance, public policy, political science, environmental negotiation, environmental economics, survey methods, and applied quantitative analysis. Topics such as air and water pollution, energy, climate change, food, and conservation are of particular interest.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in public policy, political science, economics, or related areas. Candidates must demonstrate an ability to conduct outstanding independent research and a commitment to teaching. Candidates whose research is interdisciplinary and centered on environmental policy are strongly encouraged to apply.
