The Center for Demography of Health and Aging (CDHA) at the University of Wisconsin- Madison invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate with research interests in using advanced demographic and econometric methods to understand the importance of place of birth on later life health and mortality. The new postdoc will work in collaboration with Jason Fletcher, Alberto Palloni, Michal Engelman, and several other UW-Madison faculty on a multi-year research project funded by the National Institute on Aging. The appointment can start as early as January 1, 2019, but start dates through September 1, 2019 are possible.

An ideal candidate will have strong quantitative and writing skills, advanced knowledge of demographic and econometric methods with large survey and/or administrative data, and training or interest in life course analysis and health and aging outcomes. UW–Madison and our research group offer an outstanding training environment for postdoctoral scholars and a strong track-record of alumni achievement.
