The SC Johnson College of Business at Cornell University invites applications from qualified individuals for two full time tenure-track faculty positions in our Finance Area, with a start date of July 1, 2019. Rank is assistant professor, and salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Applicants with a Ph.D. (defended or ABD) in Finance or a related field and seasoned, untenured professors will be considered. The intent is to place these hires in the Johnson Graduate School of Management.

Responsibilities of the position include: 1) research in area(s) of expertise, 2) teaching basic and advanced courses at the BS, MBA, EMBA and/or Ph.D. levels, 3) supervision of doctoral candidates, and 4) service to the Area, School, and College. Willingness and ability to teach a Ph.D. level course in empirical asset pricing or in theoretical corporate finance is a plus.

The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business (established on July 1, 2016) combines three AACSB-accredited Schools: The Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management (Johnson), the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management (Dyson), and the School of Hotel Administration (Hotel School). The Finance Area at the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business consists of 32 faculty from across our three Schools.

The Johnson School offers MBA, Accelerated MBA, Executive MBA, and Ph.D. programs. Courses and programs are taught at Cornell's main Ithaca campus, the Cornell Tech campus in New York City, and other locations across the globe.

Qualifications:
All applicants will have a Ph.D. (defended or ABD) in Finance or a related field. Seasoned, untenured professors will be considered. Preferred candidates will demonstrate significant accomplishment in research, teaching, and service and will complement and extend the strengths of the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business's faculty.
