Full Text of JOE Listing:

Reporting to the Academic Director, the incumbent will identify questions and unsettled issues in important areas of public policy including international trade and finance, tax, immigration, entitlements, households finance and regulation. The position combines insights from economic theory and large datasets to provide advice and assist in the continued development of a large-scale microsimulation budget model and an integrated, cutting-edge dynamic overlapping-generations model. We also highly encourage complementary independent research. Must be able to work with a team and under tight deadlines. PhD in Economics required, but ABD candidates expecting a doctorate in 2019 encouraged to apply. Excellent research, writing and analytical skills required. Research and experience in computationally intensive fields, in particular, overlapping generations incomplete markets general equilibrium modeling are strongly preferred. Computer coding experience is very desirable, and candidates with software development experience are especially encouraged to apply.
