Scripps College, a women’s liberal arts college with a strong interdisciplinary tradition, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level in Economics. We seek candidates with fields in environmental and/or urban economics. Participation in the College’s Core Curriculum in Interdisciplinary Humanities program is expected. The teaching load is four courses per year plus senior thesis advising. Ph.D., teaching experience, and evidence of research potential are required. Preference will be given to applicants with a commitment to the College’s goal of improving higher education for underrepresented students.

The deadline for applications is November 16, 2018. Interviews will be conducted at the American Economic Association annual meeting in January 2019. Applications should include a cover letter, c.v., three letters of reference, research statement, recent teaching evaluations, and research sample.
