The Department of Economics at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte invites applications for a tenure track Assistant or Associate (with tenure) Professor to begin in August 2019. High quality research is expected of the successful candidate. Preference will be given to candidates with research interests in microeconomic fields (theoretical, applied, or both) who have research synergies with current faculty. Candidates should have a completed doctorate in economics or a related field by the start of appointment and must meet academic qualifications as described in the Belk College Policy on Qualified Faculty Status. Interviews will be held at the 2019 ASSA meeting in Atlanta. Salary, teaching load, and other resources are competitive and consistent with other national research universities.

The Department of Economics offers an M.S. in Economics. The Department also plays a key role in the Ph.D. in Business Administration with a Major in Finance, the Ph.D. in Public Policy, and the M.S. in Mathematical Finance programs. The ideal candidate will teach courses in microeconomic theory and/or game theory in the M.S. in Economics and the Ph.D. in Business Administration.
