The Department of Economics in the College of Business Administration at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for the Kenneth White and James Xander Professor-ship in Economics. The Professorship is open to any field of specialization in Economics. The anticipated start date of the position is August 2019.

The scholar who holds the Kenneth White and James Xander Professorship in Economics will be a key faculty member of distinguished reputation who will engage in teaching, research, and scholarly activities relating to Economics. The holder of the Professorship will serve as a critical resource for UCF and the College of Business Administration to further development of a program of excellence in the Department of Economics.

Candidates for the Professorship must (i) have earned a Ph.D. from a regionally- or nationally-accredited institution of higher education in Economics or a related discipline, (ii) be nationally recognized as an expert in Economics with a publication record consistent with tenure and the rank of Associate or Full Professor in the Department of Economics at UCF, (iii) have a record of excellence in teaching as demonstrated by past departmental, college, university or professional association recognition for contributions to teaching, and (iv) have a record of working with Ph.D. students in Economics or related fields.
