Do you have a vision for the future of improving scientific reviews? Are you a first-rate Scientific Leader seeking a career at the Center for supporting the most preeminent biomedical research institutes in the nation and the world? The Director, Center for Scientific Review provides leadership, vision, and direction to the Center and advises the NIH Director and Institute and Center (IC) Directors on the development of NIH-wide scientific initiatives and policy issues related to ensuring that NIH grant and fellowship applications receive fair, independent, expert and timely reviews, free from inappropriate influences, so that NIH can fund the most promising research.

We are looking for applicants with a commitment to scientific excellence and the energy, enthusiasm, and innovative thinking necessary to lead within a dynamic and diverse organization. Applicants must possess an M.D., Ph.D., or comparable doctorate degree in the health sciences field or other related field, plus senior-level scientific experience and knowledge of research programs in one or more health science areas. Applicants should be known and respected within their profession as individuals of scientific prominence, with a distinguished record of research accomplishments and expertise in policy development regarding grant review. The successful candidate for this position will be appointed at a salary commensurate with experience and accomplishments, and full
