The University of Sydney’s School of Economics is a rapidly growing, dynamic and evolving school with a mission to expand and develop the discipline across the Faculty and University. The School is one of the primary centres for economics in Australia and the broader Asia-Pacific region, located in one of the most exciting cities in the world that is the business and policy hub of Australia.

To further strengthen our research portfolio and provide additional academic leadership, the school wishes to appoint a Professor of Microeconomics. The successful applicant will have an active and visible program of research in any field of microeconomics. They will join a strong and growing research group in Microeconomics at the school, with the opportunity to engage more broadly within the research community in the city and nationally.

The successful applicant will be offered a full-time continuing position, subject to the completion of a satisfactory probation and confirmation period for new appointees. A competitive remuneration package (including up to 17% employer’s contribution to pension) will be negotiated.
