Applications are invited for tenure-track appointment as Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science jointly offered by the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 201800334), to commence on September 1, 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter. The post will initially be made on a three-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal and with consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year appointment.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Statistics with research areas including but not limited to environment, business and public health. This is a joint appointment between the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science (http://www.saasweb.hku.hk/) of the Faculty of Science and the School of Business (specifically, the Innovation and Information Management group) (https://www.fbe.hku.hk/academic-areas/innovation-and-information-management) of the Faculty of Business and Economics, with the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science as the home department.

A globally competitive remuneration package commensurate with the appointee’s qualifications and experience will be offered. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary, as well as leave, and medical benefits. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
