The Department of Economics seeks one or more permanent full-time academic staff lecturers in Economics starting August 22, 2018.

Full-Time teaching responsibilities include introductory courses in economics, statistics, global perspectives, and possibly upper-level undergraduate courses in areas of expertise. The typical teaching load is 4 courses per semester. Instructors at UW-W may be required to teach online and/or in a hybrid format, or courses in the evenings. Instructors may also elect to teach New Student Seminar or University Learning Communities, or participate in other programs geared toward improving student success. Lecturers are expected to maintain professional currency consistent with AACSB accreditation. The candidate will also be expected to embrace the principles of diversity and inclusion as a member of the university community.

A Master’s Degree or ABD status in Economics is required for consideration. Candidates must show a record of or potential for effective teaching. Ph.D. in Economics is preferred. Candidates with a record of superior teaching performance preferred. Candidates with the ability to teach courses in global studies and international trade preferred for one of the positions.

Whitewater is located in southeastern Wisconsin, one hour from Milwaukee and Madison, and two hours from Chicago. The Department of Economics (http://www.uww.edu/cobe/economics) is in the AACSB-accredited College of Business and Economics (http://www.uww.edu/cobe). The Economics Department offers three degree programs: a bachelor's of business administration (BBA), a bachelor of art or science (BA/BS) from the College of Letters and Sciences or a bachelor of science in education (BSE) from the College of Education.
