We leverage this data and derive insights to deliver the right ad experiences to the right user at the right time on the right device.

Some recent projects include:
- Measuring the long-term impact of advertising on eBay’s marketplace users. In particular, identifying heterogeneity in these impacts and how that affects the optimal rendering of ads.
- Designing and testing auction mechanisms for programmatic advertising.
- Quantifying the tradeoff between organic search results and listings sponsored by sellers for increased visibility. Using these insights to design mechanisms that optimize revenue and user experience.
