We seek a Lecturer beginning in August, 2018. The appointee will be expected to teach three to four courses each semester and to provide outstanding student mentoring. Course topics may involve microeconomic principles, managerial economics, data analysis, econometrics, regional economics, economic policy, and development economics, or other topics of mutual interest. The exact number and mix of courses will depend on the needs of the department, the strengths of the appointee and any non-course activities assumed by the appointee. The appointee will be involved broadly in the academic life of the department. This is a three-year fixed term contract renewable depending upon departmental needs and appointee performance. Applicants should demonstrate evidence of outstanding teaching and a commitment to undergraduate mentoring. A Ph.D. in agricultural economics, economics, business administration or a related field is preferred, though applicants with other relevant professional degrees and experience may be considered.
