The Wabash College Department of Economics invites applications for a 1-year Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning July 1, 2018. We are interested in applicants in any field of economics. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in economics completed by August 2018. The successful candidate should be committed to excellent and innovative teaching of undergraduates in a liberal arts setting with a diverse student body and willing to contribute to teaching principles, intermediate theory, and all-college interdisciplinary courses. Course load is 3-3.

Applicants should be prepared to submit: letter of application, curriculum vita, statement of teaching philosophy, unofficial undergraduate and graduate transcripts (official transcripts required upon hire), reprints of published work or a writing sample of current research, summaries of teaching evaluations, and email addresses for three persons who will submit confidential letters of recommendation electronically. Review of applications will begin February 28. Note that Wabash College does not provide H-1B or other immigration case sponsorship for short-term visiting positions.
