The U.S. Census Bureau’s Center for Economic Studies (CES) is currently recruiting for senior position of the Assistant Center Chief (ACC) for the Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics (LEHD) Program manages the formulation, programming, and guidance of research projects which fall within the purvey of the LEHD program and involving demographic and economic issues of great importance and significance. The ACC-LEHD manages a diverse staff that may include geographers, economists, data analysts to produce the Quarterly Workforce Indicators (QWI), LEHD Origin-Destination Employment Statistics and Job-to-Job Flows from a jobs frame. The LEHD program also uses application developers, web and statistical software programmers to provision and deliver public use data products, such as QWI Explorer, On The Map and On The Map for Emergency Management.

The ACC-LEHD serves as chief liaison between LEHD and the Local Employment Dynamics data sharing partnership, general public and high level officials from other agencies and may coordinate interagency working groups. Works closely with other Census Bureau senior staff on program goals, research and development projects, practices and procedures that might improve the LEHD program and the data it provides to the public. The ACC-LEHD also identifies particular problems to explore, assessing the adequacy of existing programs and recommending and implementing changes. Finally, the ACC-LEHD develops and presents new ideas for analysis and presentation of economic data to internal and external stakeholders.
