The Department of Economics at Umeå School of Business and Economics is looking for a promising researcher in Applied or Theoretical Econometrics to join our group.

The Post-doctoral scholarship is financed by the Tore Browaldh’s Foundation, Handelsbanken. The holder of the scholarships is expected to perform and publish research in their specialist areas, and to contribute to the development of the research of the department of economics. Funding is for an initial period of three years but can be extended for three additional years subject to a review of the research contribution.

The Department of Economics at Umeå School of Business and Economics has a well-established tradition in econometrics research. The focus has been and continues to be on both methodology and applications in various areas of economics, including labour economics, public economics, finance, environmental and resource economics, health economics. Current research interests of the econometric group cover distribution theory, identification of econometric models, micro-econometrics.

Starting Date: March 1 2018, or later by agreement.

Applicants will have obtained their PhD degree within five years from the application date.
