Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Department of Economics at Umeå School of Business and Economics, is looking for a promising young researcher in either of the following two areas: Behavioral Public Economics or Labor Economics.

A Post-doctoral fellow specializing in behavioral public economics will broaden our primarily theoretical research on optimal taxation and public expenditure towards a more quantitative orientation based on empirical/numerical or experimental research, while a Post-doctoral fellow specializing in labor economics should have research interests in the intersection between the labor and housing markets. The holder of the scholarships is expected to perform and publish research in their specialist areas.

The Post-doctoral scholarship is financed by Tore Browaldh’s Foundation, Handelsbanken. The scholarship will support full time research activity and is limited to three years. A review of the research contribution after three years will then determine whether the scholarship is extended for an additional three years.
