Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Education Policy Labs at Georgia State University in Atlanta are seeking to fill up to two Postdoc Research Associate Positions. The postdocs will perform a variety of tasks including constructing and documenting a longitudinal database, quantitative analysis of micro-level administrative education data and preparation of research reports. The postdoctoral positions will each be for a two-year term.

Work may either be with the Metro Atlanta Policy Lab for Education, “MAPLE” (a partnership between Georgia State and five Atlanta-area school districts that collectively enroll 30 percent of the public school students in Georgia) or with the Career and Technical Education Policy Exchange, “CTEx” (a collaboration of researchers studying career and technical education using student level data databases from three state partners – Arkansas, Michigan and Tennessee).

We are interested in candidates who possess strong quantitative analysis and statistical programming skills as well as effective written and oral communication skills. Candidates should either be finishing up their dissertation or have completed doctoral studies within the last two years. Review of applications will begin as they are received and continue until the positions are filled. The start date is flexible; we can bring someone on as soon as January or as late as August 2018.

To apply, send a CV and cover letter indicating your particular skills and interests in the position. Also, required are three reference letters and a recent research paper.
