The Finance Department at the Fox School of Business at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA is seeking two candidates for academic Non Tenure-Track faculty positions to begin in fall 2018. The chosen candidates will engage in teaching (3-3 teaching load) and provide service to the School and Department. Teaching will be at the undergraduate-level with an emphasis on real estate finance (residential, commercial, etc.).

Service commitments include working with Fox’s faculty, administrative staff, and student professional organization to strengthen our undergraduate concentration in real estate. The concentration currently enrolls 60 students. Our goal is to increase enrollments, strengthen program rigor, and liaise with other Philadelphia-area schools and programs, industry groups, and stakeholders to enhance student internship and job opportunities. The individual chosen for the position will recommend program revisions and serve as a liaison with the Department’s Outreach Director to enhance our network within the Philadelphia real estate market. The real estate concentration resides within the Fox’s Finance Department.

The Preferred Qualifications for this Position are:
• A Ph.D. or D.B.A with a concentration in real estate economics/finance, finance, financial economics, or economics (micro and/or econometrics). We will consider practicing professionals with substantial work experience, a master-level degree and a willingness to publish in professional journals.
• Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or master’s level.
• Evidence of effective and high quality teaching via student evaluation forms, etc.
• Outgoing individual with the ability to interface with practicing financial professionals and corporate managers/executives.

About The Department: The Department has a growing undergraduate population, a top-ranked MBA program, offers three Master of Science degrees, and supports a well-established PhD Program. The Department currently consists of 12 Tenured or Tenure-Track and 18 Non-Tenure Track faculty members, and is looking to grow. Department members publish in top finance journals, including the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, and Review of Financial Studies, as well as top-tier journals in real estate, economics, accounting, international business, and management.
