The Statistics Department at Stanford University invites applications for a tenured position at the Associate or Full Professor level, in Probability, Applied or Theoretical Statistics. This is a research and teaching position with student advising and department committee responsibilities.

Applicants should have demonstrated strong research abilities. A Ph.D. in Statistics or a related area is required. Applicants should submit a letter of application, curriculum vita, a statement of research and teaching interests, and not more than one preprint/reprint. The Stanford Statistics department currently has 22 regular faculty members, as well as a distinguished group of emeriti. Many professors have joint appointments in other departments, including positions in mathematics, economics, the School of Medicine, the School of Engineering, the School of Earth Sciences, and the School of Education. The varied research in the department integrates core statistical theory, mathematics, computing, algorithms, and applications to many scientific disciplines.
