To promote the use of advanced digital infrastructure in empirical research, the University of St. Gallen is inviting applications for a Post Doc in Empirical Research Methods.

Starting date is as soon as possible or upon agreement.

We are looking for a candidate with a PhD degree in the field of statistics, information science, data science, econometrics or a related field with excellent grades. Substantial IT knowledge and strong analytical capabilities are required. Fluency in English and sound communication skills are essential. Publications in relevant scientific journals are desirable.

As a successful candidate you will counsel researchers in applying advanced digital infrastructure in their empirical research projects. In doing this, you will particularly focus on applying cloud infrastructures and innovative empirical and data analytic tools. You will be involved in the organisation and further development of the Consultancy in Empirical Research Methods at the University of St.Gallen. You are responsible for advancing the University’s services in cloud infrastructure and research soft-ware for researchers in collaboration with the IT services of the university. In addition, you will collabo-rate in joint research projects within the University
The position offers a unique opportunity to work at one of the leading Business Schools in Europe within a dynamic and international research environment. You will support researchers from econo-metrics and the various fields represented at the university.
