Full Text of JOE Listing:

Graduate School of Public Policy (GrasPP), the University of Tokyo, invites applications for a full-time tenured Associate Professor or Professor. A tenure-track Assistant Professor may be considered if there were no good candidates for the tenured position. The school is considered as one of top world public policy schools and a member of the Global Public Policy Network, a coalition of renowned seven schools in the world. International students represent about half of all the students.

Applicants should have a PhD for the tenured position (or an anticipated PhD completion by August 2017 for the tenure-track position) in the field of international macroeconomics, broadly defined to include international finance, trade, business cycle, growth, macro-finance, and time-series econometrics. She or he is expected to teach international macroeconomics courses in English, targeting primarily for the GrasPP master students. Students at the Graduate School of Economics are also likely to take the courses. A good academic publication record, teaching experiences, and work experiences in public institutions such as central banks or international organizations are all taken into account.

Please apply through JOE. We will contact the short-listed candidates before the end of 2017 to set up an interview at the AEA meeting.
