The Department of Economics invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track, Assistant Professor position to begin July 1st, 2018, in the field of Public Economics. Preference will be given to a candidate with a political economy and historical perspective. The successful candidate is expected to teach both introductory micro and macroeconomics, in addition to courses in the field of expertise.

Candidates must have experience and evidence of teaching at least one independent class, evidence of research potential, and have completed all the requirements for a Ph.D. in economics by the start date. The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to research and teaching excellence in a liberal arts environment.

Salary is competitive. In addition to providing ongoing support for teaching and research, the College offers the following resources for pre-tenured faculty: a 2-2 teaching load in the first year, a research fund in the first two years, and a semester’s sabbatical (at full salary) after a successful third-year review.
