The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) is seeking an economist with expertise in econometric theory. We are especially interested in candidates with research related to sample selection, semiparametric estimation, or machine learning. Knowledge of financial economics is a plus. Staff economists work on high profile projects within PCAOB and engage in independent research. A PhD in economics, statistics or a related discipline is required. Interested candidates should submit a complete job market packet, consisting of CV, job market paper and 3 letters of recommendation.
The PCAOB is a nonprofit corporation established by Congress to protect investors and the public interest by promoting informative, accurate and independent audit reports and to oversee the audits of public companies and broker-dealers.
