Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Industrial Relations Section (IRS) and the Department of Economics invite applications for IRS Visiting Research Scholars for the academic year 2018-2019. The Visitors will spend the academic year in residence at Princeton and will be given office space and the opportunity to pursue their own research on any topic in labor economics. A small fund for research expenses will be included. Visitors may participate in the University's teaching program depending on departmental need and if mutually agreed, with sufficient course enrollments, and with the approval of the Dean of the Faculty. Salaries are based on the salary in effect at the scholar's home institution. Scholars from academic institutions often receive up to one-half their academic-year salaries from their home institutions for the appointment period.

Applicants must apply online and submit a cover letter, CV, research paper or book chapter, and a brief (1-2 page) research statement. In addition, a confidential statement should be attached indicating your salary for the current academic year, and what financial support your home institution and other sources are likely to provide during your visit. This information will be held in confidence.

Applications are welcome from individuals who will be on leave from full-time positions at universities or research institutions during the 2018-2019 academic year. Ph.D. is required.
