Full Text of JOE Listing:

Tenure-track Assistant Professor sought to teach three Economics courses at undergraduate or graduate levels each semester. Courses may include Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Contemporary Economic Issues, Statistics/Data Analysis/Econometrics and other Economics courses consistent with academic preparation, professional experience, and School’s emerging needs. Contribute to developing additional courses in Economics as needed. Engage in extracurricular activities with students and local business community. Contribute scholarly publications consistent with tenure standards. Advise students and carry out other service obligations consistent with needs of the Department, School, College, and Profession.

Required Qualifications:

• PhD or DBA (in-hand by Aug 2018 or ABD completed within 6 months of appointment) from AACSB accredited business school with major in Economics.
• Demonstrated student focus, effectiveness, and potential for success teaching college courses, including online and hybrid formats.
• Qualified, by professional or academic experience, to teach graduate-level courses.
• Scholarly potential demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications or high-quality work in progress.
• Strong work ethic, commitment to continuous improvement, ability to teach in multi-cultural environment, and collegial/team-oriented demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completed doctorate in Economics from AACSB accredited business school.
• Refereed journal publications on economic topics in press or published.
• Experience teaching Macroeconomics, Contemporary Economic Issues, Microeconomics, Statistics/Econometrics/Data Analysis courses including online/hybrid formats.
• Experience developing and coordinating curricular and co-curricular programming.
• Experience with community-based and/or service learning pedagogical practices.
• Professional experience in Economics.
