The Council on Foreign Relations is seeking applicants for the 2018–2019 International Affairs Fellowship (IAF) in International Economics.

Launched last year, the program provides the next generation of economic scholars and business economist hands-on experience in the policymaking field. Fellows expand their range of thinking and apply their work to international economic policy. Possible host placements for the fellowship include but are not limited to the U.S. Department of the Treasury, U.S. Department of Commerce, and relevant parts of the U.S. Department of State and the White House. A stipend in the range of $150,000 to $175,000 is awarded along with relocation assistance.

The fellowship is only open to mid-career business economists and university-based economics scholars who have demonstrated commitment to a career in international economics or a related field. Qualified applicants must be U.S. citizens and hold a PhD in economics or a closely related discipline.
