Responsibilities: This is a nine-month, tenure-track position in agricultural economics and agribusiness management with a 50% research and 50% teaching responsibility. The successful applicant will be expected to develop a nationally and internationally recognized policy-driven research program focused on issues related to food, behavior, and health. Pertinent research topics may focus on economic analysis of policies related to food and nutrition assistance programs, obesity and other health issues, food safety, food labeling, general agricultural-environmental policies, and related areas. The successful applicant will be expected to secure external funding. Teaching expectations will be four courses per year, including at least three undergraduate courses in agribusiness management. The successful candidate is expected to mentor graduate students.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in applied or general economics, or related field, with experience in research and competing for grants on food, behavior, and health preferred. Applicants should demonstrate excellent quantitative and communication skills and the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams. Postdoctoral experience indicating independence and productivity is preferred. An ability to engage professionally with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students is required.
