Applications are invited for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2018 or soon thereafter.

A Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics or Economics with demonstrated expertise in regional or development economics or a closely related field is required for this position. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of microeconomic theory and quantitative methods. Evidence of the potential to become a high quality post-secondary teacher-scholar and to operate as a team player in a collegial environment is also required.

The candidate will contribute to the newly approved PhD program in applied economics at the University of Saskatchewan. This program is hosted jointly by the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics, Department of Economics, Edwards School of Business and the Johnson-Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy. The successful applicant will hold a primary appointment (70%) with the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics and a secondary appointment (30%) in the Department of Economics.
