The Department of Economics at North Central College invites applications for a Department Chairperson to begin July, 2018. Appointment at the rank of associate professor or full professor is anticipated, depending on candidate qualifications and scholarly record. The successful candidate will provide visionary leadership and oversight to all aspects of the Economics Department, including the promotion of relationships with external constituents, fostering interdisciplinary collaborations across the campus community, and managing all departmental resources. Teaching responsibilities will be based on the individual's background and interests in any field of economics, microeconomics or applied microeconomics preferred but not required.

Ph.D in Economics from an AACSB-accredited school is preferred; administrative experience at the department chair level (or comparable experience); Candidates must demonstrate commitment to teaching excellence, mentoring of students, and ongoing scholarship.
