Full Text of JOE Listing:

The Bank of Finland's Research Unit invites applications for the Visiting Scholars Programme in the areas of Macroeconomics, Monetary Policy and Financial Stability.

Timing and Duration:
Visits will take place between February and June 2018, subject to agreement between each researcher and the Research Unit. We do not accept visits in July due to holiday season. Research visits usually last between one and four weeks.

Applicants:
Candidates should hold a PhD in Economics or Finance at the time of applying and be active researchers. Priority will be given to first-time visitors.

Funding and Accommodation:
We offer a salary commensurate with Visiting Scholar’s professional background, experience and the Bank of Finland wage scale. We also reimburse a round-trip economy class travel to Helsinki. We help in finding accommodation in Helsinki during the visit, but we do not cover accommodation expenses.

Computer Facilities and Desk Space:
We provide the Visiting Scholars with office space as well as access to all Research Unit facilities, including data, libraries and computer resources.

Future Calls for Applications:
The Visiting Scholars Programme is biannual. The call for applications for visits in Autumn 2018 will be released in late March 2018.
